Bopanna/Mergea vs Inglot-Lindstedt by Khum
ATP Doubles US Open
Bipanna/Mergea - Inglot/Lindstedt
Florin Mergea has started this year paired with Dominic Inglot and they were making a good couple. But for Mergea's huge talent good is not enough and, at that time, I was hoping for him to find a pair to help him reach the top of the doubles tennis. And that better partner came in person of Rohan Bopanna. In 5 months together they've already made 2 ATP 250 finals, 1 ATP 250 title, 1 ATP 500 final, 1 Masters semifinal, 1 Masters title and 1 Grand Slam semifinal. Quite impressive, isn't it?
Yesterday they've passed in a three sets encounter over the hotest doubles team in Nestor/Roger-Vasselin, which have come in New York after two consecutive Masters finals, the first one lost to Bryan brothers and the second one won, after wining also the rematch against the legendary twins.
Today Magic Mergea will meet again, for the first time after their separation, his former partner Dominic Inglot. Obviously they know each other very well but that should help more the one who can execute better, and there is no doubt that Mergea is the one. Take a look:
Inglot and Lindstedt are excellent doubles players but Inglot has obvious technical limits and Lindstedt passed over his prime. Unless they will have some magic day or Bopanna/Mergea will have some awful day, this match should be won by the team better in quality, homogeneity and momentum.
My bet is Bopanna/Mergea -2games, but as that's not to be found at the bookies that Betshoot agrees, I suggest a simple side bet: Bopanna/Mergea to win the match and to reach back to back Grand Slam semifinals.
Let's go green!
