In first leg match Ajax started game very well and was in front 2-0 by great D. Klaassen double. But after HT Rapid Vienna started their comeback way and in 48min midfielder F. Kainz scored first austrians goal. After 10mins other Rapid midfielder S. Schwab get red card but even this couldn't stop angry hosts side and in 76min technical striker R. Beric scored a goal. Ajax were just simply poor in second half and thats why they must be very concentrate in second leg match and I believe that Ajax head coach F. de Boer will make serious strategy changes if he want to go to the next stage.
Rapid Vienna at the moment looks on fire when after draw vs Ajax they got league game in away vs Austrian champions Salzburg and there get a victory by result 2-1. Salzburg of course not the same team like before when in their team was Alan and Kampl but even without them in that match they played more dominating football with 58% ball control and more shots on target. The same football im hope to see in Amsterdam where local Ajax at their home stadium must show convinced dominating football. Also for Austrians cant help key midfielder S. Schwab due red card in first h2h match and who scored one of two goals vs Salzburg.
Ajax by 2 away goals have better position to qualify, but playing on a draw could be very risky. Austrians i think that will play more offensive football to get a goal and get some chances to qualify but thats will make only easier for technical Milik and other Ajax strikers to find the way to score a goal. Technical Amsterdam team which is on 29 place in Uefa club ratings must play convinced football and try to get a victory and not let for Rapid Vienna to score, so Ajax 0 handicap looks pretty safe here because i cant imagine Rapid victory here.
