Felix Hernandez (12-5 with a 2.69 ERA), who takes the mound for the Mariners in the last game of their three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Safeco Field, was in his usual good form in his previous four starts in July, as the right-hander surrendered two or fewer runs in each of those four outings, including 6 hits and 2 runs (one earned), while striking out seven in seven innings of a 5-2 win against the Blue Jays last Friday.

Hernandez went 8-2 with a 2.48 ERA in eleven starts at Safeco Field so far in 2015 and posted a 2.51 ERA in two career starts versus Arizona, though the last of them was in 2009.

The Diamondbacks will send to the mound Patrick Corbin (1-3 with a 3.68 ERA), who pitched well in his last two starts, allowing 8 hits and 3 runs, while striking out fifteen over twelve innings against the Giants on July 19 (1-2) and the Milwaukee Brewers last Friday (1-2).

However, it should be noted, that those two games were at Chase Field, while Corbin gave up 4 hits and 4 runs over five innings of a 2-4 loss against the Mets in his previous start away from home this season and is 2-5 with a 5.23 ERA in his last ten road contests.

I think that Seattle will win the last game of this series, probably with more than one run difference.
