Boston vs Chicago White Sox by Sors

The Boston Red Sox lost 8-10 in the opening game of their three-game series against the White Sox at Fenway Park yesterday, but more important for my bet is that the hosts showed good efficiency in offense lately, having scored 19 runs on 32 hits in their last two games.

Chicago is one of the hottest teams in baseball in this moment, as the White Sox won five straight games and have an impressive .314 BA, with 36 runs and 7 HR over that span.

Wade Miley (8-8 with a 4.33 ERA), who will start for Boston, pitched well in his last two starts, as the left-hander yielded 1 run on 5 hits and struck out ten over thirteen innings against the Angels on July 17 (0-1) and the Houston Astros last Thursday (4-5).

On the other hand, he has posted a 4.68 ERA in his previous eight starts at Fenway Park in 2015, allowing 7 hits and 6 runs over 5 1/3 innings in the last of them against the Yankees on July 12.

The White Sox will send to the mound Jeff Samardzija (7-5 with a 3.91 ERA), who pitched well in his last starts, in which the right-hander gave up 4 hits and 1 run over eight innings of a 8-1 win at Cleveland last Thursday.

Samardzija, however, posted a 5.29 ERA in his previous ten road contests in 2015 and is 0-1 with an 8.53 ERA in one start and a relief appearance versus Boston so far in his career.

David Ortiz is 2-for-2, with two walks against Samardzija, Pablo Sandoval is hitting .429 (3-for-7), with a homer and 4 RBI against him, while Hanley Ramirez is 8-for-19, with 2 RBI.

My bet is for more than seven runs in that game.
