Dinamo Zagreb vs Molde by Mijkel
Dinamo passed the last round 4-1 on aggregate against Luxembourg’s Fola Esch. They dominated the away match, but in the one at home although holding possession, weren’t any better at creating chances than the minnows from Lux allowing them to score on and even coming close to a second goal. Looking at Dinamo Zagrebs performance in Champions League on home soil we can see its nothing spectacular. Since 2012 only 4 clean sheets from 12 matches. Twice against Sheriff, once before against Fola Esch and once against Žalgiris from Lithuania not very strong teams if you ask me. Last year lost 0-2 to Aab.
Molde went through the last round 5-1 on aggregate. They won the first match at home easily 5-0 against Pyunik Yerevan. They had no pressure going into the second match, so 1-0 loss in Armenia doesn’t really tell us much. Molde has played 5 away matches in Champions League since 2012. They scored in 3 of the earlier ones against the likes of Ventspils, Basel and Sligo Rovers. They drew 0-0 with Legia in 2013, also received a red card in that match. And the 1-0 loss to Pyunik.
My idea is to bet Molde to score simply because of the chances Dinamo gave to Fola at home. I rate Molde to be a grade better than the Luxembougian team, so an away goal could very well be the key to advancing to the next round. Molde had a week to rest as they did not play a league match in the weekend.
