Monfils vs Simon by GooFy741

This is going to be another French battle. Monfils is playing great this season at Wimbledon. His first two opponents were Carreno-Busta and Mannarino. Monfils didn’t give any chance for his opponents. He has won both matches without losing a set. Monfils is a great player on every court. Couple weeks ago Monfils reached semi-finals in Stuttgart. Unfortunately his opponent was Nadal and didn’t give any chance for Monfils to win. Monfils also had a right hip injury in Halle where he had to retire from the match. But it looks like now he is fully recovered and ready to reach the final.

Gilles Simon won 6 out of 7 previous matches against Monfils. What is more, only one of their matches ended in clear win 2-0. Simon’s current form is very good. He has reached semi-finals in London. His opponent was Anderson and there was a very serious match. Unfortunately it ended in Simones lose. He also participated in Nottingham and lost in quarter-finals against Querrey. The beginning of Wimbledon was great for this player. He has won both matches without any serious problems.

Depending on many of past French meetings and nowadays form it should be a very tight and great match. Bookmakers give very similar odds for both players. There’s should be a fight until the last minute. I think that both players should take at least one set.
