RoPS vs Inter Turku by Luca Garzeli
One game less and RoPS are 7 points behind HJK, with those 2 games remaining. In the last match they won easily Ilves (4:1) and they're undefeated in 10 of 11 last games. At home they're 5/5 with 1 goal received in that run. Tomorrow they will face Inter Turku, their nemesis this season. Inter destroyed RoPS at the beginning of the season, winning both two games that they played each other in April: 7:3 (Cup) and 0:4 in first of three league's meeting.
Right now the things are a bit different for hosts, are in a magnificient shape, and although Inter aren't very bad at all (won 3:1 & 3:0 their last 2 games at home) I think there are significant differences between RoPS at home and Inter as away team. Last year Inter Turku only won 2 games far from home, and this season is expected to win some more games, but until now, they have only won that 0:4 against RoPS. They didn't win in the other 6 games away, loosing 4 of them.
That home team is a different one from the start of that big run, GK Ricardo is playing well, their defense are playing solid with Jammeh, Lahdenmaki and Obilor perfectly coordinated in the back and forward Kokko (13/9) is on fire, with 2 hacktricks in the last 4 games. For tomorrow they will miss Hradecky, that was ejected in the last game, but for me are more important the Inter's missing players.
They will be without the forward Hambo (6/4) and probably without Gnabouyou (12/5). Coach Dragtsma has some players to score as nigerian Njoku (13/3) or the help of the midfielders, but lately Inter is struggling to score far from home with 2 goals in the last 5 games. As I said, midfielders and defenders must to improve a lot their offensive production if they want to steal some points here against these solid RoPS' guys.
Last year RoPS won to nil the 2 games played at home against Inter, and lost the third one away.
