Baltimore vs NY Yankees by Sors
The rookie right-hander, who was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday, pitched well in his first three starts this season, but had obviously problems in his last start, allowing 8 hits and 5 runs, with two walks over five innings in a 4-6 loss at Houston on June 2.
Wright has never faced the Yankees or any of their hitters before.
Adam Warren (4-4 with a 3.64 ERA), who will start for New York, is coming off three consecutive quality starts, in which the right-hander gave up 12 hits and 5 runs, while striking out eleven over twenty innings against Kansas City (5-1), Oakland (0-3) and the Los Angeles Angels last Saturday (8-2).
Warren went 2-3 with a 4.79 ERA in six starts away from home this season, but posted a 3.10 ERA in the last three and lasted more than six innings in each of those three outings.
The right-hander yielded 7 hits and 2 runs, with three walks and two strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings in his last starts versus Baltimore on May 8 (5-4).
The Orioles have an impressive .325 BA, with 39 runs and 10 HR during their six-game winning streak, but the Yankees also show good efficiency in offense lately and have .290 BA, with 39 runs and 10 HR from their last seven games.
I think that the Yankees will avoid a three-game sweep with a win in the final game of this series at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
