Kovalik vs Christian Lindell by Tennisguy

This is a match from the 1st round of the Prague challenger(clay) between Jozef Kovalik from Slovakia and Christian Lindell from Sweden.

This is going to be the first encounter between these two players.

Kovalik is 11-6 on clay this year compared to Lindell who is 25-14. One of the main reason why I really believe that Lindell is going to manage the win today is based on the fact that Kovalik will be quite tired after playing 5 matches last week at the Mestre challenger where he lost in the final to Maximo Gonzalez 6-1, 6-3. He clearly looked out of gas in that final and for him to recover so fast and be 100% for this new tournament is not very likely.

Lindell managed to play some very good matches at the French Open qualifiers where he managed to get to the main draw where he eventually lost to Tsonga. In those qualif. round he defeated Karatsev, Ward and Hernych, all players which I consider better than Kovalik so he has the quality to make a good match today.

I think that the bookies really undervalue Lindell in this encounter mostly because Kovalik had a good run last week. That being said he as I mentioned before the slovakian player looked very tired in the final he played last week and for me going with Lindell here has to much value and is the best way to go.pin
