Roland Garros, Mixed Doubles Quarterfinal
Srebotnik/Tecau vs Lindstedt/Martinez
This one comes very easy to me.
On one hand we have one double winner and double finalist in Roland Garros Mixed Doubles, in Katarina Srebotnik and one Grand Slam winner and Grand Slam finalist in mixed doubles tournaments in Horia Tecau. Together they pased easily the first round in straight sets and produced the upset in the second round, defeating the big favourites, the legends Martina Hingis and Leander Paes, which were coming undefeated (not even a set lost together in 6 previous matched) and as winners of the last Grand Slam Mixed Doubles tournament, in Melbourne.
On the other hand we have two veterans of the doubles tennis, in Maria Jose Martinez, ex no4 WTA Doubles and Robert Lindstedt, ex no3 ATP Doubles, but neither of them has even a decent record in mixed doubles. They have had pour results in mixed doubles during all their carreers. I'm quite surprised they are even in the 3rd round here, but at a careful review of their first two wins one will find nothing remarcable, as they have defeated also players who don't use to have deep trails in mixed doubles Grand Slam draws.
Taking also in account that, after they have split up, Horia Tecau defeated almost everytime his former partner Robert Linstedt and the fact that both Srebotnik and Tecau are in better form than their opponents also in WTA and ATP doubles competitions, I think we have all the possible reasons to expect a win for this pair and some cash in return for the trust we're going to grant them.
Let's go green!
