Palmeiras-SP
This is the big derby of Sao Paulo region as Corinthians host Palmeiras at the Corinthians arena.

Corinthians are one of the strongest teams in Brazil and favourites to win the league this season, they have started pretty well with 2-1-0 after 3 games. They drew 0-0 vs Fluminense last game but could of won after Guerrera missed an open goal. They have already beaten last two seasons champions Cruzeiro on match day 1. They are still yet to concede any goals in their 3 games.

Palmeiras are a much weaker team, they haven't won yet in 3 matches and failed to win vs lower league team ASA in the Brazilian cup midweek. Palmeiras haven't really had a hard schedule either, they faced newly promoted Joinville and finished 0-0 then drew 2-2 vs Atletico Mineiro who rested many regulars in that game, then they lost 0-1 at home to Goias last time out who are a mid table team at best.

Corinthians are 13-6-1 since fully moving into their newly built stadium after the world cup. Palmeiras haven't won away to Corinthians since 2009, this fixture was won 2-0 by Corinthians in the national championship last season. I see the hosts as a much better team with better players and home advantage, Palmeiras are no more than a mid table team and have not started well this season. At the very worst I see a half loss here.

Corinth is a defensive team, and I only see a low-scoring game.. I thing an under2.5 goals is not a bad bet too.

I agree with you, they are very very good in defence and Palmeiras are pretty poor in offence. I think under 2.5 is very possible, 1-0 or 2-0 home win.
