Djokovic vs Nishikori by Tennisguy

This is a quarterfinal match from the Rome tournament between Novak Djokovic from Serbia and Kei Nishikori from Japan.

They have met 5 times so far and the score is 3-2 in favor of Djokovic.

In this tournament Nishikori defeated Vesely 7-6(3), 7-5 and Troicki 6-4, 6-3. He had some service problems against Troicky in the second set but that didn't make him lose focus and he eventually won the match quite easily. Nishikori has always played well against Djokovic and that's one of the reasons I am going to back him in this encounter.

Another reason why Nishikori has a good chance is the fact that Djokovic hasn't really performed all that well here in Rome as he had a lot of difficulties against his opponents. He played 3 setters in both his matches here against Almagro and Bellucci and he wasn't even close to playing the tennis he usually does. If he plays at the same level he did so far against Nishikori I think he will surely get punished and seeing how Kei has always performed well against him I think this bet is worth a go.
