Aston Villa vs West Ham by TommyC

Aston-Villa
VS
West-Ham
Tim Sherwood has done a fantastic job so far at Villa and a win today will most likely be enough to keep them in the premiership. Two wins, a draw and a loss in their last 4 games is good form for a side hovering above the drop zone and they were most unlucky to lose 3 - 2 to Manchester City 2 weeks ago. If they play with the same intensity and passion then id expect another 3 points today.

West Ham after such a good start to the season have slipped hopelessly out of form, just 2 wins from the last 13 games and what promised to be such a fantastic season has petered out to another mid table finish.

Agbonlahor is back for the home side and along with the brilliant form of Benteke they will be hard to keep out. Alex Song is back training for the Hammers but not sure of a starting place,

Its hard to look past a home win here. Villa under Sherwood look such a better team than they did at the start of the season, he has them playing with a passion and is getting the best out of some of the players like Benteke, whatever he is saying in the dressing room is working because all the players appear to be buying into it.

West Ham beat Burnley last weekend but are sitting in that mid table pocket, going neither up or down and probably thinking of their summer holidays. They will give it plenty im sure but Villa have too much to lose here and can win this and more or less guarantee survival for another season pin
