Colorado vs LA Dodgers by Sors

The Rockies, who will try to avoid eighth straight loss and eighth in twelve games at Coors Field this season, will send to the mound Eddie Butler (2-2 with a 3.81 ERA).

The rookie has posted a 2.25 ERA in his first three starts in 2015, but had obvious problems in the last two, allowing 13 hits and 9 runs (seven earned), with four walks over ten innings against the Giants on April 24 (6-4) and the San Diego Padres last Friday (3-14).

Butler yielded 6 hits and 2 runs over five innings in a 0-7 loss at Los Angeles on April 19, but is 0-1 with a 9.90 ERA in his previous two starts against the Dodgers.

The Los Angeles Dodgers scored a season-high 14 runs in the final game of their four-game series against the Brewers yesterday and have .245 BA, with 43 runs from their last seven games.

The Rockies, meanwhile, were limited to three or fewer runs in four of their last six games and have .229 BA, with 20 runs in that span.

Brett Anderson (1-1 with a 4.21 ERA), who will start for Los Angeles, had some problems in April, but the left-hander pitched well in his last start, allowing 5 hits with four strikeouts over six scoreless innings in a 1-0 win over Arizona last Friday.

Anderson posted a 3.54 ERA in four starts at Coors Field in 2014, while Eddie Butler went 2-1 with a 5.71 ERA in his previous three home starts.

Justin Turner is 6-for-8, with a walk against Butler, Scott Van Slyke is 2-for-3 with 2 RBI, Howie Kendrick is 1-for-2, Joc Pederson is 1-for-2, Andre Ethier is 2-for-8 with 1 RBI, while Adrian Gonzalez is 1-for-7, with a homer.

I think that the Dodgers will win the opening game of this series against the Colorado Rockies.
