Pakhtakor vs Al Shabab by Sors

The hosts took important point in the visit to Naft Tehran in the last round (1-1) and are still involved in the fight for the second spot in group B.

Pakhtakor is on third position in this group (1-3-1 6/6), but only two points behind Naft Tehran and with better results from the direct matches against the Iranian team (2-1/1-1).

Pakhtakor is a team built almost entirely by local players (with the exception of Adnan Orahovac and Kakhi Makharadze), but most of them have big experience of international level.

Samvel Babayan define this match as “the match of the year” for Pakhtakor in an interview yesterday, the hosts will play on full stadium and with the highest possible motivation.

Egor Krimets (def.) is suspended and will miss this match against Al Shabab Riyadh, but key midfielder like Kakhi Makharadze returns to the squad.

Al Shabab Riyadh went through a difficult period in March and April, as the guests lost seven of their eleven games in this period (2-1-8 13/19), including three of their four games in this tournament (0-1-3 3/8).

This will be the last match for the guests in this tournament in 2015, while the season in their domestic league is coming to an end, so the motivation of the players is under serious question.

In addition to that, three important players will miss the visit in Tashkent for the visitors: Waleed Abdullah (first goalkeeper), Rafinha (midf. / 5 goals) and top scorer Naif Hazazi (forw. / 16 goals).

Everything speaks in favor of the home team here, although I doubt that Pakhtakor will win this match with big difference.
