Bhambri vs Soeda by MagicRat

Bhambri has had a good year so far, winning his last tournament in Uzbekistan and recently reaching the final of the tournament in New Delhi and the semi-finals in Kazan. The Indian, however, has been winning against players ranked well outside the top 100, so the match against world number 87, Soeda will be a step up in class for Bhambri.

Bhambri has faced just one person ranked inside the top 100 all year when he lost to Murray and I expect Soeda to have too much for him. Soeda hasn't won as many matches this year as Bhambri but he doesn't lose to players ranked below him often.

He's progressed well this week and if he continues his first serve percentage of 77.8% in the first round and 71.2% in the second round, Bhambri will struggle to get a foothold in the match.

They have one previous meeting in Novemeber last year when Soeda won comfortably, 6-1 6-2, also on hard courts.
