Bayern Munich vs Dortmund by Kamlesh

Bayern Munich have virtually already won the bundesliga and their main priorities now are the Champions League and the DFB Pokal. They won their last game against Hertha Berlin in their league by a single goal and the coach afforded himself the luxury to rest some players in order to enable them to be fresh for tonight. Alaba (19/2 d), Badstuber (10/0 d) and Ribery (15/5 m) will miss out.

Dortmund are having a disappointing season and the coach announced that he will leave at the end of the season. Instead of competing for the bundesliga title, they are struggling to secure champions league qualification. They easily won their last two league games and they will hope to produce a decent performance tonight in the DFB Pokal. Gundogan (19/3 m), Kehl (17/0 m) and Weidenfeller (24/0 g) are doubtful to play while Kirch (6/0 d), Sahin (7/1 m) and Piszczek (20/0 d) will miss out.

This is the last chance for Dortmund to win a trophy this season and it remains to be seen whether they will be able to cause an upset here. However, Bayern Munich have much more quality in their squad and their best player Robben (21/17) is also back in the squad and might play some part in this game. The game will be tight but ultimately Bayern Munich should prevail as Dortmund are inconsistent in their performances.
