Baerum vs Hodd by 20legend
Baerum has been struggling so far with just 0-1-2 and 3:7 on goal difference. It is going to be another tough season for their young squad. Even if they are expected to keep their place in OBOS-Ligaen, they cannot continue in the way they are doing now. After losing against Sogndal (3-1), they got a draw against Follo (1-1) in a quite boring match. In their game last week, they got outplayed by another team that are expected to fight for survival; Strommen (3-1). The way Baerum played against Strommen especially is a very dangerous signal towards relegation, and it should be difficult to change that scenario against Hodd tonight.
Hodd has started quite the opposite way of Baerum with 2-1-0 and 5:1 on goal difference after three games played. They did what was expected as they took three points in their first game against Strommen (0-1), before getting a draw against Fredrikstad (1-1), and a very impressive win against Brann (3-0) at home last week. The tendency has been very good in all three games, as they were unlucky not to beat Fredrikstad after leading the game for 87 minutes, but it was also a deserved draw as Hodd played an awful 2nd half. However, the win against Brann was a result of two very impressive halves. They win could actually have been a lot bigger as they outplayed Brann in every possible way, both in terms taking advantage of their possession by finding space and the creation of chances in front of goal.
The difference of the teams current form suggest that Hodd should be the winners tonight, but Baerum needs to step up before it is too late for them. Hodd has had some problems by playing to very good halves, as the 1st half is often a lot better than the 2nd half. I expect Hodd to use their confidence and win tonight, but I will not trust them quite yet before they play more games with two good halves involved. My pick will therefore be Hodd to win either half, as they have managed to do in all their games so far.
