Guangzhou Evergrande is still dominating the league but their advantages have been reduced quite a lot this seasons. One of the reasons is due to the weaker defending line. Some important high class defenders are either getting older or have left the team this season. Another reason is most of the other teams significantly increased their investment. However, they have straightened their already strong offending force by signing Brazilian International and star player Ricardo Goulart. Both Goulart and in-form Elkeson will be hungry for goals, especially after a 0:0 draw against Korean team Seoul FC in Asian Champion League last Tuesday. Guangzhou's biggest star is however not the players, but former Italian Captain Fabio Cannavaro. slowly slowly, he is turning the team to play in an Italian style. Although at the beginning of the season the team is not as aggressive as before and have conceded a lot of goals, the team is getting more stable and seem to have found the balance between two ends. The expensive foreign players are getting more familiar the system and their goals are increasing.
It is still difficult to get even one point from Guangzhou in their home stadium. Especially now the team have qualified for the next round in ACL and have got themselves warm up. Jiangsu Sainty is a good team in the league as well and they are proud to have a lot of talented local players, who were shining in the just finished Asian Cup. However, there is nowhere they can compare with Guangzhou if we talk about foreign players. And they have lost their last four match up against Guangzhou.
I will bet Guangzhou to win at least by 2 goals.
