Zvijezda Gradacac vs Zeljeznicar by Raymond Fire
Anyway, they look good to reach 3rd place minimim this season and qualify for Europa football again... However in order to do so, today is a must win really. They sit 4th, one place short of the qualification zone, and just 1 point away.. They need a win here, it is VERY close currently and they are only 3 points difference between Zeljeznicar and 1st/2nd place.. This is a vital game for them and 3 points could take them anything up to joint 1st place today (depending on other results).. But their main priority will be reaching 3rd place upwards, which can be attainable today.
They have a very strong squad for this league, their team is worth much more than the home side's... there's definitely a gulf there. The home team sit 2nd bottom in the league, stuck in the relegation zone.. They are likely to go down this year after VERY narrowly escaping relegation last year... Clearly they are one of the worst clubs in this division and it will be a massive task for them to hold of, arguably, the best side in the league.
Zeljeznicar's attack includes Bajic, top scorer in the league, with 13 goals... And now they have also just brought in Kokot (from rival team who sit 2nd).. He is a great addition and climbing the goal scoring tally also. He has 8 league goals.. So far 3 of those goals for this side in his 7 appearances. Both these players are in good goal scoring form at the moment. Zeljeznicar have a very strong attack and are always a threat going forward (second highest scorers in the league in total).
The home side have scored 23 and leaked 43.. -20 goal deficit.
Zeljeznicar have scored 40 and leaked 20 - +20 goal deficit.
Zeljeznicar are the stronger side in terms of both offence and defence.
The home side are a much smaller club with lower ambitions. They are in the relegation fight and it appears a losing battle.
Gradacac are terrible at home too, they have the worst home record in the league, rock bottom for home performances.
Zeljeznicar are the CLEAR better team, they usually have no problems beating this opposition, and should continue that record today for their 3 much needed points, to meet their season objectives.
They have won 7/7 of the most recent H2Hs, home and away, a win today would make it 100% league points taken from Gradacac in the last 4 consecutive seasons.
Going back further, 5 years in total, over the last 10 H2Hs against Gradacac, Zeljeznicar have 9 wins and 1 single 0-0 draw.. an impressive record.
Gradacac have been in HORRIBLE form recently..
They just finally won a game (away from home).. That made it their 1st win in their last 10 games.. Prior to that 0-1 win they had 7 losses and 2 draws.. Been struggling massively in recent months. They haven't won any of their last 5/5 home games either.
On the other hand, Zeljeznicar are still unbeaten since the return to the league this year... Their away form has been equally successful too.
