Queen of South vs Dumbarton by Dman

Queen of South play Dumbarton with two rounds remaining in the Scottish championship. Visitors has nothing to play for really, while Queens can secure playoff for promotion.

Queens currently lie 4'th, within promotion playoff. Falkirk, their closest competitors, lie just outside with 5 points up. Falkirk play away against Rangers, with narrow chances of a win. At the same time, Falkirk has Cup final on the 30'th, which might be of more importance, since 5 points up to Queens with two rounds to go, could be unlikely to reach.

Queens are extremely motivated to win, and secure playoff in front of home crowd. Next round they play Livingston away, who are fighting for their lives. So should Falkirk win today, and Queens loose.. It could be a very difficult last round.

Mark Millar is currently only player out for Queens, after his headbutting incident against Alloa last week. Coach Fowler will again be able to play Ian McShane and Lewis Kidd, whos been out recently, and are back in training.

Dumbarton will miss their captain and important central defender, Andy Graham, who is suspended. David Van Zanten and Chris Duggan are also missing.

Queens are 2'nd best in league at home 12-1-4. Out of these home games, they have been in front at halftime 11/17 games. Except from a defeat to Cowdenbeath, they have also been behind at halftime (and lost) to top 3 teams (Hearts and Hibernian).

Dumbarton on the other hand, lie 7'th away 4-3-10. They have been behind at halftime 12/17 and lost 8/17 H/T.

If Queens go ahead in the 1'st half, they will only build on it, im sure. The loss of Graham for Dumbarton who mainly will defend in this game, will be to much. Queens have won 5/6 against Dumbarton, secure wins. H/F wins in every single game.

Ill have some of that tonight :)
