Lu vs Kumkhum by Tennisguy

This is a round of 16 match from the Shenzhen 2 ITF between Jing-Jing Lu from China and Luksika Kumkhum from Thailand.

I am going with Jing-Jing Lu to win because after the tennis she showed in the first round it's very hard to not give her a try in this match. In the first round she defeated Su Jeong Jang a player that had a record of 19-5 on hard this year and mate 3 ITF finals this year from which she won 2. Not only did Lu win but she did it in two sets 7-5, 6-1 and I must say she really dominated the meeting despite the score being close in the first set.

Kumkhum is better ranked and has had good matches in the past 2 year so I guess that's why she is the big favorite today. That being said her previous matches that she played in the past 2 months might suggest a very low form for her. She lost to players like Simmonds, Tanasugarn, Sawayanagi so I think it's fair to say she is not the same player she was a year ago.

I think that Lu will be much more motivated to do well in this home country tournament and given the form she showed in her first match I believe she can back that up and get the win in this match as well.pin

Jing-Jing Lu won 6-3, 4-6, 6-2. Very good win for her and I think she is going to do very well in this tournament so she is worth backing in her next matches also.
