Evtimova vs Kingsley by Tennisguy
This is a first round match from the Pelham ITF between Dia Evtimova from Bulgaria and Raveena Kingsley from USA.
This is the first encounter between these two players.
Kingsley is a very young player that will surely have a bright future ahead because she is very talented and even though she still has a lot to improve to her game I think she can still defeat Evtimova. She has a decent service which will be very hard to get broken but the most important quality she has is the movement on court as she is incredibly fast.
Evtimova has managed to get a couple of wins on clay this year as she is 12-6 on this surface but most of those wins where against pretty poor opponents and I don't know if it's that big of a deal. Even last week at the Jackson ITF she easily lost to Kaitlyn McCarthy 6-3, 6-3 who is also a very young American with a similar playing style as the one she will face today.
Evtimova is the more experienced player in this encounter but given that she is 11 years older than Kingsley and that she hasn't really managed anything special in her career I don't really think it's going to be such a big factor. Also today she will be facing a player that will facing a brick wall ans Evtimova usually gets frustrated against these type of players and ends up making a high number of unforced errors against them.
I think that going with Kingsley here represents very good value and in my opinion she can actually get the win in 2 sets but there is no need to risk that because the odds are great as they are for the simple win.
