Saint-Mirren
VS
Ross-County
St Mirren and Ross County clash at St Mirren Park with both needing the points for different reasons.

The home side are currently 10 points adrift at the foot of the SPL with any hopes of survival quickly diminishing. The facts don't make good reading for St Mirren as they are winless in 4, have only won 2 games in their last 9 matches and haven't even scored a goal in those recent 4 defeats. Infact, they haven't netted more than once in a game since their 2-1 victory over Ross County back in January. Most recently they suffered a 5-0 hammering to second bottom Motherwell.

Dutch defender Jeroen Tesselaar may return for the Buddies as may fellow defender Marc McAusland but regular midfielder Isaac Osbourne is definitely out.

Ross County started the season terribly and at one point were rooted to the foot of the table. They have since hit a fantastic run of form and are currently undefeated in 8 games with 7 wins and 1 draw. This run has helped propel them to 10th place, 13 points ahead of St Mirren. Ross County's incentive in this match is to pull away from 11th place as come the end of the season 11th place will face a tough play-off game against the Championship play-off winners to remain in the SPL. This could mean a tricky tie against Hibernian or Rangers. So a win is vital to help keep their SPL status next season.

Darren Barr remains out for County while Rocco Quinn and Richard Brittain are are not expected to feature. None of these 3 players have featured heavily for Ross County this season.pin
