Atlanta vs New York Mets by Sors

Atlanta will try to take a sixth straight win since the beginning of the new season and third in this home series against the Mets after two identical victories in Friday (5-3) and Saturday (5-3).

However, I expect bigger problems for the Braves today, given the fact that the Mets will send to the mound Bartolo Colon, who is coming from a good performance in his first start of the season, as the right-hander gave up only 3 hits and 1 run over six innings against the Nationals on Monday (3-1).

Colon is 1-2 with a 2.45 ERA in three starts against the Braves in 2014, allowing 6 hits over seven scoreless innings for a 4-0 win in his last start at Turner Field on April 8, 2014.

The Braves gives the ball to Alex Wood, who yielded 4 hits and 2 runs over five innings in his first start this season versus the Marlins on Tuesday (12-2).

However, the left-hander doesn’t have so good memories from his previous five starts against the Mets (0-2 with a 4.10 ERA), surrendering 11 hits and 6 earned runs over thirteen innings in the last two of them, with thirteen strikeouts.

Travis d’Arnaud is 3-for-5, with 1 BRI against Wood, Michael Cuddyer is 2-for-3, Daniel Murphy is 5-for-11, Juan Lagares is 3-for-11, with a homer and 2 RBI, John Mayberry Jr. is 3-for-10, with a homer, while Curtis Granderson is 1-for-4, with 1 HR and a walk.

I think that the Mets will win the final game of this series.
