Northampton vs Cambridge United by TFB

Northampton Town play Cambridge United at Sixfields looking to continue their excellent home record and edge closer to a play-off position.

Northampton have won 7 of their last 8 home games with the only blotch being a 2-0 defeat to Carlisle United a couple of weeks ago. They have some impressive wins in this run like a 2-1 win over Luton Town, they defeated Newport County 3-0 and also beat York City 3-0.

The home side are hopeful Diego De Girolamo will play after suffering an injury but defender Tom Newey is still struggling with injury, striker and top scorer Marc Richards is also out but he has been for a while now and this doesn't seem to have effected their results.

Cambridge are currently on a huge downswing and have only 1 win in their last 17 league games so morale must be low. They are winless in their last 3 away games but have had 2 positive 1-1 draws against Shrewsbury and Southend. Their last away match was a 2-1 defeat to Hartlepool, however.

Luke Chadwick and Richard Tait have been ruled out for Cambridge, these are two regular players this season with over 50 appearances between them.
