Preston vs Rochdale by TFB

League One's 2nd placed club Preston North End look to close the gap on leaders Bristol City with victory over Rochdale at Deepdale.

The home side are on a great run of form, unbeaten in 11 league games winning 8 and drawing 3. At home they have been excellent all season and have the second best record with only 1 defeat. More recently the lily whites have beaten Crewe 5-1 and Peterborough 2-0 so should come into this game full of confidence.

Preston have Bailey Wright, Scott Wiseman, Alan Browne and Callum Robinson back from international duty which will strengthen their squad somewhat. The star of the show this season though has been Joe Garner who has 20 goals in 29 games for Preston.

Rochdale are two different sides at home and away. At home they have won 6 out of their last 7 games whereas away they have lost 5 out of their last 6, on,y beating troubled club Notts County 2-1.

Rochdale defender Ashley Eastham is available but defender Jack O'Connell has been recalled by parent club Brentford so will not feature. Peter Vincenti, who has 12 goals this season, may still be missing while Matty Lund and Calvin Andrew are still out injured.
