The table topping Spanish Segunda clash sees 4th place Real Valladolid host 2nd place Sporting Gijon at the Zorrilla.

The home side come into this match after a disappointing 2-0 away defeat to Tenerife. A match that saw top scoring forward Jonathan Pereira (7/4) sent off for two yellow cards and also coach Rubi sent off in the 2nd half! Both look set to miss the visit of Gijon through suspension.

Pereira has been a revelation since his loan move from Villareal but Valladolid have so far failed with 2 appeal attempts to allow him to play on Saturday. He will be a miss.

Gijon are currently in great form and have risen to 2nd place, level on points with leaders Las Palmas. They have also only lost 1 league game so far this season, to 3rd place Real Betis. But impressively they have won 4 of their last 5 games and scored 11 goals in the process.

Gijon don't seem to have any major injury worries either so i would expect top scorer Carlos Castro (16/7) to lead the line for the away side.

Their last match was an impressive 4-1 home win over Mirandes with Castro netting twice. Carmona and Barrera scoring the other two goals.

Their away record is a decent 4-7-0 so with Valladolid's problems i would expect Gijon to get at least a draw here.
