Arsenal vs Monaco by Lucik86
It's something of a romantic draw for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, who managed Monaco between 1987 and 1994.
The Gunners have 8 wins in the last 9 matches (single loss 1-2 away at Spurs) and arguably even more impressive, a run of 9 consecutive wins at the Emirates.
I don't see Monaco scoring at Emirates.Arsenal play very attractive football and they scored at least two goals in their last five matches in the Champions League.
For me AS Monaco’s qualification to the Champions League KO stage from the first place was a huge surprise. The French have been by far the most defensive minded side in this UCL season, scoring an amazingly low number of just 4 goals. They kept a clean sheet in five of their last six matches in the Champions League, but this teams are not on Arsenal's level.
Arsenal have four missing players for their home match in Champions League against Monaco. Mathieu Debuchy, Vassiriki Abou Diaby, Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta are injured.Ospina and Chamberlain are doubtful.
Monaco also have four missing players. Tiemoué Bakayoko, Andrea Raggi and Ricardo Carvalho are injured.Jérémy Toulalan is suspended. Layvin Kurzawa
Yannick and Ferreira-Carrasco are doubtful.
Arsenal: Ospina – Chambers, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs – Coquelin – Cazorla, Özil, Sanchez, Welbeck – Giroud
Monaco: Subasic – Fabinho, Wallace, Abdennour, Kurzawa – Moutinho, Kondogbia – Dirar, Martial, Carrasco – Berbatov
Even though Monaco plays very good in defence throughout the season, without Raggi, Carvalho, Toulalan we might see them much more vulnerable than usual and Arsenal have midfielders with great quality:Cazorla, Özil, Sanchez, Welbeck.I think that will be the key match.
I don't see Monaco scoring at Emirates and I think Arsenal will score twice.
