Verona vs Roma by Dman

Verona
VS
Roma
Most probable line-up's for the two:

Verona (probable): Benussi; E. Pisan, Marquez, Marques, Brivio; Ionita, Tachtsidis, Halfredsson; J. Gomez, Toni, Jankovic

Roma (probable): De Sanctis; Florenzi, Yanga Mbiwa, Astori, Holebas; Pjanić, De Rossi, Nainggolan; Gervinho, Doumbia, Ljajić

Both teams are battleling in each end of the table, and are in need of 3 points here. Roma did play midweek in Euro League, and does only rotate squad a little it seems. However, looking at these line-ups and Veronas current form, i think Roma will be victorious. Even with one more game in their legs.

Roma are still having difficulties turning draws in to wins, but actually, they are much better at doing so on away grounds, where the pressure from the fans are less. Their away record is 6-3-2, and they have won 3/5 of their last games. Rudi Carcia has expressed, that Roma needs to take more risk and be more expressive. With Gervinho back and scoring again, and boosted by De Rossi and Pjanic return, i think Roma will take this, playing offensive football against Verona's back 4, whom are slower than any other in Serie A.

Verona are in a bad shape, and with only 2 wins from their last 9 (2-1-6). They really suffered away against Genoa last weekend, and were lucky to both grab any goals and not loose by more. They are decent playing at home 4-2-5, but their wins are over Atalanta, Parma, Cagliari and Palermo. Not top teams (Perhaps exept Palermo, but they are awfull away).

Its simple. Roma has to win, if they dream of the scudetto. They play Juve next round, and can limit the gap to 4 points. Byt only if they win today. They should be top motivated, and with players currently returning from injury, maybe they can make a final push
