Egor Gerasimov vs Yuki Bhambri
These indian challengers need to be approached a bit different than the most of the tournaments.
Here the local guys perform way better than when they play in other countries.
They can have weeks when they play much better than their ATP ranking positions would suggest. There are a few indian players extremely talented for this sport but usually they are not as consistent for longer periods of time as the ATP tour requires for a good ranking.
This particular Yuki Bhambri is a player excellently skilled, and those who are not familiar with this area of tennis had the occasion to see what he can do about one month ago, when he played a good quality match against Andy Murray in Australian Open.
Right now I find him being in a good spot, as he is coming after 3 good wins in the qualifications of the australian Grand Slam, then the defeat in front of the runner up Andy Murray that is a very good performance also if you see the score (3-6, 4-6, 6-7) or, better, if you watched the match. A 3 sets loss at Devvarman, in Hong Kong, is something I'll not take in account, as I consider irrelevant anyone's results against that weird player.
In this week he started by beating 7:5, 7:6 a Kudryavtsev which also showed a good form in this begining of a year.
On the other side we have a Egor Gerasimov who is a pretty talented player but which started this year at a low level, wining only at poor players and not doing it in a convincing way. In time I've noticed that he has the better results in the tournaments held in ex-soviet space.
For this morning, as I Marahonbet is no more a option here (my first option was Bhambri -2.5 games @ 1.85) I will back the indian tennis player with full stake on William Hill, as this is the best other choice available.
Let's go green!
