Accrington vs Cheltenham by TFB

14th place Accrington Stanley host 23rd place Cheltenham Town in this Friday evening kick off at the Store First Stadium.

The home side come into this match on the back of 2 good wins. The first was a home win against a decent away side in Oxford United with new signing Terry Gornell scoring the winner in injury time. Their second was a fantastic 2-1 away win against an in form Southend United. Southend were 10 games unbeaten before this loss where once again, Terry Gornell scoring the decisive goal.

Gornell has 2 goals in 3 games since signing from Cheltenham so i'd expect him to line-up against his old side where he made 59 appearances but only scored 6 goals. He also had a spell with Accrington in 2010/11 where he scored 13 goals in 42 appearances.

Cheltenham are side on the slide having lost their last 4 games and have only won 1 game in their last 16 games, a 2-1 victory over Oxford United. They currently sit in 23rd place, a position that will see them relegated unless they improve. They have also signed a lot of players since the start of the year so they are left with a top scorer of just 2 goals.

Cheltenham are currently managerless but will be led until the end of the season by 36 year old academy coach Russell Milton. Is a young coach the right man for the job of keeping Cheltenham in the football league?

I'm afraid darryl might be right. They've changed the hole set-up at Cheltenham, new manager is a home town hero. It might have an effect. But hoping it wins for you TBS, still a solid bet

When did chetenham sign new coach pls

They haven't got a new manager, they sacked the previous manager and there is simply a caretaker manager at the moment as they are in no rush to appoint a new permanent manager.

Accrington have very negative balance here against this enemy
Accrington won three back to back victories only once in last 60 games
Cheltenham are desperate and Accrington are not
Accrington have the cheapest players in the league
