Derby vs Reading by Rahul

Derby County come into game on the back of some good form now that has seen them march on to 3rd spot in the Championship, just 1 point behind league leaders Middlesbrough. Derby have lost just 1 game in their last 10 games so far including some good victories against solid Championship side. The depth of the attacking talent of Steve McClaren's men is something that has helped him land up in this strong position. Chris Martin in particular has been in outstanding form, knocking 16 goals this campaign and helped his side do well in all competitions including when he netted a brace against Reading back in October for their 3-0 victory. He has been backed also by players like Darren Bent (scored 3 goals in 4 appearance), Russell (6 goals), Ward (5 goals) & Hendrick (5 goals).

Reading had been struggling in December and sacked manager Nigel Adkins and replaced him with former West Brom Manager Steve Clarke. Since he has joined the Royals, they have managed to put up a few wins on the board, however with a disappoint loss to Leeds United in front of the home fans by a score of 2-0; will not bode confidence ahead of this game. I honestly think Reading might rotate this squad in order to focus on avoiding relegation, as they are just 7 points of the bottom. Even if they do decide to play their full team; they need a lot of help from Simon Cox to make things happen on the offensive front where they have struggled, scoring only 35 goals in 30 league games.

I have to give my backing to a strong Derby County side, who have a lot in their reserve as well coming into this game with some great form.
