Crystal Palace vs Liverpool by Stoakesy

Two Premier League teams clash on Saturday evening as Liverpool travel to Selhurst Park in the FA Cup 5th round. Crystal Palace look a different team under Alan Pardew who has done a terrific job in galvanising the team and turning them from relegation certainties into having a good chance of staying in the Premier League. Liverpool are also playing better now than they were in the first half of the season when Brendan Rodgers was under mounting pressure with his team seemingly unable to cope without Suarez.

Crystal Palace skipper Jedinak misses the game through injury as does Ameobi. Sanogo and McArthur are struggling for fitness. Liverpool are without their captain Steven Gerrard and Lucas Leiva. Stirling is a doubt after his injury suffered in the excellent 3-2 victory over Tottenham.

I see this being an attack minded game as Crystal Palace will fancy their chances under Pardew, but I feel this will play into the hands of Liverpool on the counter attack. Liverpool can be deadly on the break with the likes of Coutinho, Stirling and Sturridge (Sturridge has scored 9 goals in his last 11 FA Cup starts) and confidence is high after their excellent recent run of form. I will be backing Liverpool to win here at odds against.
