Universidad Chile vs Union Espanola by Dajkula

The odds are quite ridiculous for Universidad de Chile to win today IMO. Universidad is placed 14`th in the Clausura and have 1-2-3 so far and 11:12 goal difference. They are conceding goals against mediocre teams and losing at home which is not like them. So far they lost to Santiago away 3:2, Iquique at home 2:3 and even lowly Antofagasta 1:3. They can say goodbye to the title and with Copa Libertadores games at the door it will be even tougher for Chile. Things are obviouls not working in their defense which was reshifted for this season.

Union Espanola has the same problems and have started the season terribly with 1-1-4 till now and 4:10 goal difference. The team that should play for top 4 places is only on 17`th now. They took the first win in the last round against the leaders Conception 1:2 and that might give them confidence that they obviously need. The coach says that game was not much different from the games they lost but also played good. The other point Espanola took was away to Catolica which means that Espanola has taken all the points from away games.

Anyway my first thought was to play goals in this one but since Espanola isn`t scoring much and Universidad has the Copa match on tuesday I am favoring the guests.

Chile`s coach announces changes and though he doesn`t specify he will give rest to the players that played the most minutes and will be fresh for Emelec. Since the league train has left the station I suspect the changes will be numerous. They are also missing the suspended attacker Benegas.

Union has one big miss and that is the injured midfielder Mirosevic(19-5), the coach will have to be wise with the replacement. Union can take a point for sure or even more, they have shown to be able to take the game to Chile in recent seasons.
