Oldham vs Colchester by TFB
Oldham look to have a hit a bit of form of late after an impressive 1-0 away victory over an in-form Scunthorpe United. They followed this victory up with an even more impressive win, a 2-1 triumph over 2nd placed Swindon Town. Only Swindon's 3rd away loss in 14 matches!
Oldham's transfer window signings seem to have had a positive effect with Conor Wilkinson netting the 2nd against Swindon. Wilkinson then went off injured and was replaced by another new signing Rhys Murphy. If Wilkinson is not fit i would expect Murphy to start along side top scorer Forte who has 14 goals so far this season.
Oldham have a decent home record with 7 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses.
Colchester United are currently in 21st place and only 2 points off the bottom of the table. I only have 1 win in their last 5 which was a 2-0 win against bottom club Leyton Orient.
Their top scorer, Freddie Sears, has also recently left the club in a move to Championship side Ipswich Town. Sears had 10 goals for Colchester before leaving in January. This will surely leave a huge void in the attacking line up of Colchester.
This last match was a 4-1 away thrashing by 6th placed Sheffield United and i feel Oldham are on a similar level to Sheffield United currently.
