Man. United vs Burnley by Stoakesy

Man.-United
VS
Burnley
Struggling Burnley visit Old Trafford on Wednesday night looking for their first win there since September 1962. Burnley have also only managed the one victory against Manchester United in their last 20 attempts.

A few fun facts;

Louis Van Gaal has won the same number of games this season (12) that David Moyes had managed at the same stage last season.

Wayne Rooney has not managed a single shot on target in the Premier League so far in 2015 despite playing more than 450 minutes.

The Red Devils are without the suspended Luke Shaw and the injured Michael Carrick, but Ashley Young is available for selection. Burnley are without Dean Marney, Kevin Long, Stephen Ward and Matt Taylor.

Although they are very inconsistent this season, Manchester United's home record and defensive record is surprisingly good. They have conceded only seven goals in their last eleven Premier League home games, with nine victories, one draw and one defeat making up the eleven games. Manchester United have also kept six clean sheets in their last seven matches in all competitions against Burnley, conceding just once in the other match.

The statistics suggest a Manchester United home win and also highlight their excellent defensive record, especially against Burnley. I will be backing Manchester United to win to nil (without conceding).

Good luck mate, but keep in mind Burnley have found the back of the net against City, Spursx2 and Newcastle on the road, while United's only solid defender is De Gea.
