Bournemouth vs Derby by TommyC

This is a game of huge importance to both clubs in their hopes to finish top of the pile in the Championship.

After 29 games played both are locked on 57 points and with Middlesborough creeping up behind them there really is no room for error.

Bournemouth are strong at home and have only been beaten once in the last ten. Like wise Derby are very strong on the road and have won their last 3 away games keeping 3 clean sheets in the process.

Both are similar in terms of style, both like to play an attacking open game and score plenty of goals so its no surprise to see that these two are in the top 3 goalscoring teams in the league.

Onto tonight though, it will be really interesting to see how both sides line up, Bournemouth will be well aware of the attcking threat posed by Derby and the visitors likewise. For that reason I see a cagey affair coming up with both teams unwilling to risk everything going forward.

Often when you have two similar high scoring attack minded teams come together then you get the complete opposite kind of game expected.

A draw wouldnt be the worst result for either side, obviously both would welcome a win but with Middlesborough very likely to pick up 3 points against Blackpool, a defeat would be a disaster for both sides.

For that reason Im going with a draw, the longer the game goes on, the more both will be satisfied with a point apiece. If pushed for a winner i'd ever so slightly side with the visitors but its a 640 km round trip to Bournemouth and I think they will be satisfied with a point. Im not usually a draw backer but sometimes games just stand out as draws, for me this is one of them. Good luck!
