Liverpool vs Tottenham by Jamesington

Spurs will beat Liverpool this evening....

Tottenham have the 4th best away record of any team in the Premier League and have just beaten Arsenal 2-1 at home (a side vastly superior and more consistent than Liverpool).

Tottenham's creative attacking players easily match those of Liverpool's (Chadli, Eriksen and Lamela v Sterling and... well, just Sterling). Spurs have the flow of Bentaleb, Paulinho and Dembele to add to the mix and if there were not a match of reputations they would easily have the bookies' backing against a technically inferior Liverpool side.

The away side have won 7 of their last 9 Premier League matches and whilst Liverpool have won 5 of their 9, the performances of Tottenham have been far more impressive. Can you imagine Liverpool leaving out a player of Adebayor's quaity? Many would argue they do that every week in their continued ignorance of Balotelli as the creative saviour of the team.

As it stand, Spurs are a better bet than Liverpool - the bookmakers' have failed to recognise that and should be punished for that oversight. Get on the away team at a big

You forget the fact that Spurs are very poor away vs top half teams. Also Spurs are not too great vs. teams like Liverpool who have possesion all the time. I agree that the odds on Spurs is a little too high and is good for a value bet. But I expect few goals and a draw. 0-0 or 1-1!

A lot more goals than I expected. But yeah, yet again Spurs prove just how poor they are away vs teams in the top half of the table. Trailing all game long, not even with an offside goal they could win.
Not being able to win the clash on the midfield vs a Liverpool side without Lucas, that's just poor.

Yeah, that went well.
