Crystal Palace vs Everton by Jamesington

Crystal Palace have been a different team since the arrival of Alan Pardew, scoring 12 goals in 4 matches (against some good teams) and winning all 4 of those games. The visit of Everton will certainly be one that Palace are prepared to handle now and I think it is a game they will end up winning.

Odds of 2.85 are probably about right for a team which, despite this recent rally, (at best) could be described as unreliable. However, if they really have found form then this could be the price of the weekend.

Palace have brought in Jordan Mutch from QPR and signed former Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi (though it remains to be seen if either will start) during the week - given that players like Chamakh and Sanogo are scoring goals then it might be worth a punt on Shola for the Golden Boot!

Zaha, Bolasie, Gayle and co. have really impressed since the change of manager and are up against an Everton team which has been seriously floundering of late with 1 win in 13. Reports suggest that Everton have been better defensively of late although having watched their most recent match against West Brom I find it hard to say that Everton deserved to win (the Mirallas penalty incident aside, they were far from convincing).

2.85 for a team on a 4 game winning streak versus a side which has won none of their last 8 matches seems to be a sensible bet. The fact that it is Palace who are on the winning streak should not alter our confidence. Back the Eagles to
