Derby seemed to be cruising against Nottingham forest before a falling apart in the second half to lose 2 - 1, with Watford and Brentford winning at the weekend the pressure is back on the home side here if they wish to keep challenging for the title. Both sides were in action at the weekend and both won their ties in the FA cup, Blackburn winning against Premier league side Swansea 3 – 1 while Derby had it a little more comfortable winning 2 – 0 against Chesterfield.
Derby have only been beaten twice at home in the league and have a 7-4-2 record, One look at Blackburn’s stats tell you that they are 11 points adrift of the promotion spots but interestingly they have scored in all but one of their away games, this has been enough to secure several draws, but they have also only kept 1 clean sheet away from home so it will be interesting to see how their defence fares against a Derby side that have averaged 2 goals a game at home.
I watched Derby V Nottingham last weekend and they the home side had plenty of chances to go ahead but they couldn’t get that second goal that would have killed it off, instead they went to sleep in the second half, conceded 2 goals and lost ground in the title race
Blackburn will be on a high after their big win the weekend but are nicely poised to be brought back down to earth, they are well capable of scoring though but I feel Derby have enough to win this one, a win would put them top of the table and surely this is motivation enough, it should be entertaining and possibly a wager on Derby to win and both teams to score would be a good bet, il stick with the Derby win though and take them -1 goal on the Asian handicap for a better price 2.57 @ pinnacle
