Villarreal vs Getafe by Jamesington

Villareal are a team regaining the form of a few years ago when they challenged the European elite in the Champions League. It is not unrealistic to think that next season, perhaps the year after, the Yellow Submarine will find themselves back in such company. For now though the challenge is Getafe in the Copa del Rey and shouldn't be to difficult to overcome.

Villareal will be happy that Nigeria did not qualify for the ACN as striker Uche remains with the squad instead of travelling to Africa for the tournament; Getafe will, however, be without regular midfielder Mehdi Lacen - who is away on tournament duty with favourites Algeria.

Getafe come in to this match without an away clean sheet all season, so it is likely that Villareal should be able to find the net at some stage. The home side have indeed found the net in every fixture played at El Madrigal (apart from v Barca and Real Madrid) since last March - so shouldn't need any pointing in the direction of the goal.

Apart from the big 3, Villareal have scored the second most goals of all clubs in La Liga this season and have incredibly found the net first in their last 16 matches - they have often scored early in games and have netted at least twice in 12 of their last 14 games.

There are goals all through this Villareal side and an incredible SEVEN players have scored in the club's last 5 matches. Back the home team to find goals in both halves at a more than tasty price of 2.16 and watch the money roll
