Manchester C. vs Arsenal by Rahul

Man City and Arsenal are 2 teams whose defenses are struggling, conceding in a lot of games, and while that can be expected to happen today; I have found a pick which makes more value sense today.

When we look at the Man City attack, they should have Aguero, Bony up front along with Navas, Nasri and Silva to back up. With that attack, the team look to run a lot and cross a lot of balls to give their strikers plenty of chances with headers. Particularly with Navas running the right wing, if he is unable to cross a ball, he is managing to generate those corners to give his team a better chance from set pieces. With Arsenal having a lot of absences in their back line and a changed goal keeper, the defenders will do all they can not to let the ball come into the box and clear it at the earliest; which also generates corners. Man City have one of the highest league averages of corners by a team with 7+ per game, and I expect that trend to continue.

Arsenal have an attack that is based on their wingers, with Sanchez, Chamberlain and Cazorla; they have 3 players who love to run the by-line and get those crosses into the box. They are also 3 excellent shot makers from distance, which often leads to keepers parrying the ball away to those corners. The defense of Man City has conceded a goal in almost every game, and that shows a lack of confidence in their defenders. I expect a lot of balls to be pushed behind either by Hart or the other defenders. Arsenal average around 8 corners per game themselves, and that trend is expected purely based on the style of the football that they play.

Over 11 Asian corners is my pick for tonight.
