Port Vale vs Peterborough by TFB
Port Vale endured a difficult start to L1 this season, sitting around the relegation places for the most part. Lately, however, they have seen a resurgence due to their excellent home form which has seen them lose only once in their last 8 home games, a 2-0 loss to Coventry mid December. In this excellent home run of 6-1-1 they have a couple of notable wins over Sheffield United, Rochdale and an 'easy' 3-0 victory over Leyton Orient.
Vale also look to be at full strength with Midfielder Michael O'Connor (24/1) fit again after suffering a knee injury in the 3-0 loss away to Chesterfield.
Peterborough, on the other hand, are a team out of form and rumours are Darren Ferguson is on the verge of being sacked. They started the season so well but have since only won 1 league game in their last 11 matches! A 2-1 win over Leyton Orient. This astonishing record reads 1-2-8 with their latest defeat being against a very poor Colchester side who currently lie in the relegation zone.
Peterborough also have injury worries with goalkeeper Ben Alnwick (24/0) ruled out with injury so Ferguson has brought in Scott Loach from Rotherham on an emergency loan deal. Defender Gabriel Zakuani (9/0) is away at the African Cup of Nations with DR Congo and Midfielder Jon Taylor (13/2) & Defender Jack Baldwin (11/0) are also missing through injury.
