Luton vs Shrewsbury by DrVonKlaps
Two of the best teams of League 2 meet today. Two teams with the two best defensive lines (in terms of conceded goals) in the League.
Luton has a good home record (8-2-2 with 18-5 goals). Last home game for the League, a 1-1 draw against Portsmouth. Recent form seems not so good (2-2-2). More recent match: the 2-1 away defeat against Cambridge for the FA Cup. But we must say that at home the "Hatters" are impressively strong, being undefeated for the last 9 home matches (8-1-0).
On the other hand Shrewsbury has a remarkable home record (10-2-0), but away they seem to lose part of their strength (3-3-6). Recent form (2-2-2) is comparable to that of their opponent.
Taking on account the fact that both teams appear to have maybe two of the best defenses in the League, in terms of conceded goals, my first intention was to bet under 2 goals or something like that, having on mind that there will be a tight match.
Looking at the odds, I must say that in my opinion 3,10 is too much for a home win of Luton, even against Shrewsbury. I expected the odds to be more "balanced". I believe that there is a value betting for the home win and I will put my stake on Luton.
