Cleveland Cavs vs Houston Rockets by Rahul

The Houston Rockets take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in this game where the Cavaliers are missing LeBron James and have a possible injury for Irving. Additionally, they got rid of Dion Waiters and replaced him with JR Smith while Iman Shumpert is still injured.

While the biggest concern for the Cavaliers is their extremely thin front court where Varejao is out for the season and Tristan Thompson has replaced him at center. This gives lack of defensive ability for Cleveland Cavaliers to cut the scoring of Dwight Howard especially since Kevin Love is going to be focussed more on scoring v defensive efforts. Tristan Thompson has struggled to defend his opponents such as Chandler (Dallas), Sims (Philadelphia), Milsapp (Atlanta) who have enjoyed higher than average scoring nights against him.

Howard has struggled scoring against teams with good centers from teams like Chicago (12 pts), New Orleans (12 pts), Charlotte (11 pts) & Washington (13 pts). Compartively against teams like Miami (23 pts), San Antonio (24 pts) & Denver (24/26 pts) he has enjoyed a good time because of lack of defense played against him by weaker centers

Howard's season average has been around 18 points per game and taking on a weaker defensive opponent tonight, should see him get a lot of opportunities to score more than the 18 points that he averaging
