Liverpool vs Swansea by Marcelino

Liverpool have had a disappointing season so far. They are in 10th place and look unlikely to qualify for the Champions league. Swansea are in 8th place and have been playing well recently.

This matchday has been low in goals scored, with possible contributors to this being the bad weather and the holidays distracting the players.

In Saturday's 9 matches, 3 of them ended 0-0, and I think there will be another goalless draw here.

Liverpool already had 2 goalless draws at Anfield this season, against Sunderland and Hull City.

Swansea also had 2 goalless draws away from home this season, against Sunderland and Everton.

Head to head, they had 2 goalless draws as well, 1 at Anfield in 2011 and 1 home to Swansea in 2012.

Liverpool are struggling with strikers this season, with Sturridge being injured. Sterling will probably play as a striker, but although he has been impressive for them, he is not a natural striker. He will also be less useful considering that Liverpool will play at home and won't be using Sterling's pace on counter attacks.

This is obviously a long shot, but I think it's worth a try for a low stake!
