Liverpool vs Swansea by Stoakesy

The final Premier League match of 2014 sees Brendan Rodgers facing his old club Swansea at Anfield.

Both teams won 1-0 on Friday and Swansea sit three points clear of Liverpool in the table.

Liverpool have taken a few backward steps since losing Suarez to Barcelona and the replacements brought in have been average at best. Lallana and Lambert have failed to fire, Markovic may have potential but does not look anywhere near Premier League quality yet, and the less said about Balotelli the better.

Liverpool are struggling for consistency and seem to be waiting for the return of Daniel Sturridge to spark them into life. That said, they will enjoy playing against Swansea at home and should see a lot more of the ball than they have done in recent matches. Gary Monk has his team playing to a decent level but they are vulnerable away from home and seem to run with the same tactics each week.

Liverpool should get all three points here, and at odds of around 8/11 they should be one of the few favourites to get a victory at the end of a crazy weekend of Premier League results.

Selection: Liverpool to win the match. 8 point win @ 1.73.

Good luck with your betting Niksa, its a good price for the draw. I agree with the point about having no striker, I just think that Liverpool will have Swansea under pressure for most of the match and don't think Swansea's defence is great. Time will tell!

Pick Liverpool!

You guy's understand that wilfried bony will be on fire today, right? He will want to show Liverpool what they're missing as they rejected him as an 18-year-old. He is better than anything that Liverpool have in my opinion. Draw is very likely, but Swansea could steal it!

Liverpool could do with signing someone like Bony in the transfer window. Still think Liverpool will be too strong tonight though
