Luton vs Portsmouth by TFB

Luton welcome Portsmouth to what is looking like another packed out Kenilworth Road as Luton look to continue their push for automatic promotion.

Luton have made their home ground a bit of a fortress this season. I think a huge part of this is down to their amazing support as Kenilworth Road seems to be sold out every home game lately. This shows the fans clearly see something good happening at Luton and promotion is a definite possibility.

Luton have won their last 8 league home games! And to make things better they have only conceded 1 goal in this 8 game winning run. Their most recent victory was a fantastic 3-0 win over 7th placed and an in form Newport County. Last time out they earned a good 1-1 draw away to joint league leaders Wycombe Wanderers so confidence must be high in the Luton camp.

Portsmouth are a side bang out of form after suffering some poor away losses recently like 3-1 to 23rd place Tranmere and a 3-0 loss to 6th placed Plymouth. This added to the fact they haven't won in their last 4 league matches and have only won 1 in 6 suggests they will struggle against one of the leagues best home teams.

Dan Butler serves a one-match ban for Portsmouth following his red card against AFC Wimbledon. James Dunne and Danny East are both also out with Tom Craddock and Wes Fogden missing as well.

For Luton Paul Benson, Luke Gutteridge, Alex Lawless and Pelly Ruddock are all out. None of those are overly significant.
