Southampton vs Chelsea by Stoakesy
Ronald Koeman has done a terrific job in his short time at St Mary's - as you will remember they were favourites for the drop after offloading all their 'star' players to Liverpool and losing their manager Pochettino to Tottenham. Koeman has bought quality players as replacements, including top scorer Pelle, and you could argue that they are a better team than before. Scneiderlin is showing why a handful of top teams are interested in his services with a series of impressive performances and Southampton will have a fight on their hands to retain him in the January transfer window.
Whilst Koeman has made a few good signings for Southampton, the award for best signing of the season has to go to The Special One and his capture of Cesc Fabregas. Fabregas is controlling the game from a deeper midfield position than he had at Arsenal or Barcelona, which is a stroke of tactical genius from Jose who also has to take the second place award for the signing of goal machine Diego Costa. Chelsea are a strong team with quality in every position and look sure to go on and win the league. To keep Manchester City at bay they need to keep picking up points in tough matches like this.
The value bet I have found is for Chelsea to take the lead at any point in the match which is priced at around 1.48 with BetVictor. As Chelsea are odds on for the victory anyway this seems a very good bet.
Selection: Chelsea to lead at anytime, 10 point win, 1.48 BetVictor.
